What is Ecommerce?
E-commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services over the internet. E-commerce can be a substitute for brick-and-mortar stores, though some businesses choose to maintain both eCommerce (also known as electronic commerce) is the process of buying and selling of products or services, making money transfers, and transferring data over an electronic medium (Internet). This network allows people to do business without the constraint of distance and time.
Types of E-Commerce
There are four traditional types of ecommerce,
including B2C (Business-to-Consumer),
B2B (Business-to-Business),
C2B (Consumer-to-Business) and
C2C (Consumer-to-Consumer).

WhatsApp is starting a new market and payment feature. the business account can showcase their product portfolio and users can directly order using Whatsapp message. What are your comments on this?

WhatsApp is having a near monopoly on the communication over net due to very good service offerings. once it was acquired by Facebook, it was expected that FB will try to leverage up on the success of WA. To access, it had to change the settings of the user data access which created quite a flutter. However, users are still sticking with WA, but have downloaded other messaging apps as they are scared that they may miss out.

Priyanka PR I think it will not be safe transaction because a person login to watsup with phone number , any one create or take a duplicate sim and access the transaction and few days there was case also filed regarding accessing the wats up by third person even recording the video call or conversation chats demanding the amount I think it's not secured way for transaction or marketing for the company or the customer

Because most of the people are not knowing how to use Google pay other online payment app. But at present situation least 9 people out of 10 people are using WhatsApp. So that they can make online payment. So that we can reduce our cash payment and full fill our PM dream for digital India.

Gagan SM It's a good marketing and selling technique, but there are many other online competitors who are far better compared to WhatsApp. And people don't like seeing ads frequently on messaging apps
Jagruthi p r "Yes, the new feature is quite good but as compared whatsapp app’s payment feature will not be used much as the other apps. The business account can show their product portfolio directly with the customers and can directly order through whatsapp. But there are many e-commerce platforms. Comparatively it has good response and people has been using it since a long time and people might feel that great than whatsapp. And the new whatsapp privacy policy is quite confusing and people feel its not safe for transaction. As it might lead to some or the other problem in another way. So, i think people should use it in a very restrictive manner. And the whatsapp’s new feature is creating fear in the minds of the users. So i think its not good enough to use it’s payment feature.

Vinay R It is good for small business to reach bigger audience, but the app is being to commercialized and it can backfire as most people want their messaging app for only just messaging purposes

We already have various other social media apps for that.
Savya Swaroop R Whatsapp payment feature will make way for digital india. Sending money is as simple then sending an attachment on whatsapp. Business Merchants can easily make use of it . One major drawback of whatsapp payment is that WhatsApp will have access to our financial records as well. Knowing one’s buying capacity can have a huge impact on their business. They will now know what targeted ads they can show to us which we will more likely to buy.
